Five Mobile Network Cell Sites Secured to Improve Connectivity in Sefwi Wiawso

Efforts to address network connectivity challenges across Sefwi Wiawso Constituency have received a significant boost, with five mobile network cell sites secured for selected communities.
As part of ongoing efforts to improve communication infrastructure and expand access to digital services, five mobile network cell sites have been secured for Sui, Aboagyekrom, Tanoso Division, Aboanidua and RCC. The initiative follows engagements and lobbying efforts by the Member of Parliament for Sefwi Wiawso, Hon. Kofi Benteh Afful, aimed at addressing persistent network connectivity challenges affecting residents and businesses in these communities.

Aboanidua has already recorded progress, with construction of its mobile cell site completed. Contractors are also preparing to move to the remaining four communities to commence construction.
When fully completed, the facilities are expected to improve network coverage, strengthen communication and support economic and social activities. Improved connectivity will also enhance access to essential digital services, including online education, mobile financial services, digital business platforms and other communication-dependent services.

The development is particularly important for communities where unreliable network coverage has made everyday communication and access to digital opportunities challenging.

Hon. Kofi Benteh Afful has expressed appreciation to the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Hon. Samuel Nartey George, and the MTN Ghana Regional Manager for their cooperation and support towards securing the cell sites.
