Strengthening Grassroots Communication in Sefwi Wiawso

The Member of Parliament for Sefwi Wiawso Constituency, Hon. Kofi Benteh, has donated 30 mobile phones to serial callers of the National Democratic Congress across the constituency. The initiative forms part of efforts to strengthen the party’s communication structures and equip grassroots communicators with the tools needed to engage constituents effectively.

Effective communication is essential to every successful political organisation. Grassroots communicators play an important role in sharing information, explaining policies and programmes, and helping the public understand the government’s development agenda.

The donated mobile phones will support the beneficiaries in participating in radio discussions, engaging with constituents and sharing accurate information about matters affecting the people of Sefwi Wiawso. The intervention also recognises the dedication of party communicators who consistently contribute their time and effort to strengthening communication between the party and the public.

Hon. Kofi Benteh encouraged the beneficiaries to use the mobile phones responsibly and productively.

He emphasised the importance of communicating with facts, discipline and respect. Grassroots communication should inform and educate the public while promoting constructive political discussion. The beneficiaries were also encouraged to protect the credibility of the party by verifying information before sharing it and avoiding communication that could mislead or divide the public. Hon. Kofi Benteh reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that empower party structures and improve engagement with constituents.
